A family dental practice in Cirencester since 1920. Run by the Coleman family since 1960, it is led today by Robert Coleman, a GDC Registered Specialist in Oral Surgery.
Our philosophy
Preventing disease and keeping your teeth for life
When treatment is needed, we provide high quality, up-to-date care for patients of all ages, using modern techniques and high-grade materials. Routine care, cosmetic treatments and oral surgery are all provided in-house.
Protecting patients and staff is of utmost importance. We were one of the first practices inspected by the CQC, use disposable items wherever possible and sterilise everything else in certified sterilisers. All staff have enhanced checks.

Everything we do is built around preventing problems, explaining your options clearly and treating you gently.
Prevention first
Our aim is to prevent disease, with advice tailored to you and an examination at least once a year.

Modern techniques and high-grade materials, with tooth coloured fillings as standard.
Treatment options explained
Fees are discussed before any work starts, with written treatment plans and estimates available without obligation.
Specialist oral surgery
Wisdom teeth and minor oral surgery by a GDC Registered Specialist, under local anaesthetic. For braces, we refer to a local Consultant Orthodontist.
Children treated free
Children under 18 are treated free under the NHS, and we like to see them from their very first tooth.
Emergency appointments
We make time every day for patients in pain, with an out-of-hours rota for the dentist on call 365 days a year.
Meet The Team
A small, experienced team led by a GDC Registered Specialist in Oral Surgery. All our dentists and nurses are members of Gloucestershire Independent Dentists and undertake regular postgraduate training.
Robert Coleman
Specialist in Oral Surgery
Robert qualified at Guy's in 1984 and took over the practice fully in 2000. He chairs Gloucestershire Independent Dentists, directs the Primary Care Oral Surgery Service in Gloucester and became a Fellow of the College of General Dentistry in 2024.

Sarah Mobberley

Sarah qualified at Guy's in 2000 and has been with the practice for over 20 years, after hospital posts in oral and maxillofacial surgery and orthodontics. She is committed to friendly, gentle, high quality care.

Olivia Coleman
Oral Surgeon
Olivia qualified at Bristol in 2016 and works as a Speciality Staff Grade Oral Surgeon at Guy's Hospital in London. She joins the practice one day a week.

We discuss a diagnosis and your options, then give you a treatment plan with a written estimate before any work begins.
You'll find us at 56 Dyer Street in the heart of Cirencester, where the practice has cared for local families since 1920.
Free parking is available in the Cirencester Rugby Club car park while you visit; please don't use the Council car park at the entrance.
The practice is on the first floor of a listed building. If stairs are difficult, call us and we will make alternative arrangements.
